The security of travelers is a key challenge for businesses (Duty of Care). To meet the needs of business travelers when they select alternative accommodation, the MagicStay.com platform has launched TRUSTAY®. All the information and guarantees necessary for a risk-free stay are therefore provided. The French start-up has also decided to set an exemplary example with regard to the legislation in force on renting short-stay furnished accommodation.

 

In order to guarantee reliable and quality accommodation, all the ads on the MagicStay.com website are validated and the hosts are also subject to a check (review by telephone and SMS, and the contract is checked with rental agencies). A dedicated team then verifies the quality of the accommodation offered and the suitability with regard to the requirements of traveling professionals.

 

For each accommodation, a list of security devices in the apartment (alarm, smoke detector, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, safe, etc.) is listed on the website.

In the apartment, the traveler will find a “Securitynotice with the main emergency numbers (emergency medical service, fire department, doctors and dentists in the vicinity).

 

Furthermore, the owners or rental agencies committed to the TRUSTAY procedure®, notably agree to check the security equipment at each location and to respect the privacy and confidentiality of the tenants.

 

As regards insurance, the owners are automatically covered in terms of civil liability insurance up to € 1.5M. And the tenants, who are not already insured by their company, may take out travel insurance covering cancellation and interruption of stay.

 

Finally, a hotline is available 24/7 to answer traveler’s questions and provide them with assistance during their stay.

 

MagicStay.com is committed to complying with the legislation in force: since July 2016, MagicStay.com collects the tourist tax in all French cities and deposits it directly with the municipalities. The amount is indicated to the tenant during reservation. Moreover, an annual income declaration is sent to each owner at the end of the year.
